The society was registered on 27 January 1978 and commenced its operations on 28 January 1978. With jurisdiction across the entire district, it stands as a dependable financial institution serving the personnel of the Kerala Police Department and their families. Classified as a Class 1 Co-operative Society, its Head Office is located at Nandavanam, Thiruvananthapuram, with branch offices at Neyyattinkara, Attingal, and Nedumangad.

Membership

Member-focused By-laws Compliant

Membership in the Police Co-operative Society is open to members of the Kerala Police Department and select eligible individuals, as per the society's by-laws. The objective is to strengthen financial cooperation, promote welfare among police personnel and their families, and uphold the values of trust, transparency, and service.

Membership Categories
  • Class A: Police officers working in Thiruvananthapuram District and permanently residing within the district.
  • Class B: Ministerial staff of the Police Department working in Thiruvananthapuram District and permanently residing within the district.
  • Class C: Retired police officers and staff, investors from the public, and nominees.
Membership Benefits
  • Eligibility to participate in all deposit, savings, and loan schemes of the Society.
  • Access to welfare programs including scholarships, medical aid, and emergency assistance.
  • Opportunity to hold office or serve on committees, as per eligibility and class category.
  • Voting Rights: Only Class A members have voting rights in the election of the Bharana Samithi (Managing Committee).
To apply, submit the prescribed application form along with the required share amount and admission fee at the Head Office or any branch. Membership is confirmed upon approval by the Managing Committee.
